The  Swearingen Merlin IIIA can hold up to nine passengers in two different interior configurations.  The first is forward club seating which holds seven passengers in the greatest level of comfort
 

Merlin IIIA- Bench Seat Configuration
 
 
 

The second configuration uses a four place bench seat, as pictured in the right hand side of the picture.  This configuration is used for eight or nine passengers.
